These Terms of Service govern the use of the CamteX web application (hereinafter: "Service"), available at camtex.app.
Using the Service constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
The Service is intended for adults. Persons under 18 may use it only with parental consent.

These Terms are made available free of charge, in a form that allows you to download, reproduce and store them.
CamteX is a Micro-SaaS application enabling: AI recognition of handwritten math formulas and notes (OCR), voice dictation of math content (CamteX Voice), LaTeX/Markdown code generation from images or audio, and document export to PDF, Markdown, and the Overleaf platform.
You keep all rights to your drawings, photos, recordings and generated documents. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us a limited licence only for what is needed to provide the service: sending your content to the AI provider, storing it and displaying it back to you.
By publishing a template in the community module you agree to make it available to other users. You may remove it at any time.
Payments are handled by the external provider Stripe. CamteX does not store or process payment card data.
Prices are shown in Polish zloty in the Polish version of the Service and in US dollars in all other versions. Dollar prices of one-time add-on packs may vary by country. Current prices are shown on the pricing page and on the payment screen before you confirm.
The Service delivers digital content before the withdrawal period expires. By activating a subscription or buying a pack you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Poland by Art. 38(1)(13) of the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014).
Purchases are final. If you believe you were charged in error, write to contact@camtex.app within 48 hours of the charge and we will review your case individually.
You can cancel your subscription at any time in the “Manage subscription” panel: cancelling turns off renewal and Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Exception to final purchases: within 14 days of your first Pro subscription payment, if you have used at most 10 scans from the Pro plan and have not used dictation, you can cancel the subscription in the “Your usage” panel and receive a full refund. The subscription then ends immediately and your account returns to the free plan. This option is available once per account and does not apply to renewals or add-on packs.
Complaints are accepted at contact@camtex.app. We respond within 14 days of receiving a complaint.
If a refund or chargeback occurs, unused credits from the paid pack are revoked. Credits already consumed are not settled retroactively.
Access to the Service requires email verification via a one-time password (OTP).
The Operator stores only the user's email address and the number of scans used.
User sessions are valid for 30 days from the last activity, and no longer than 90 days from verification.
The free plan grants each verified email address 10 free scans per calendar month.
Using the Service requires a current browser with JavaScript enabled, internet access and a working e-mail address.
Supplying unlawful content, including content infringing third-party rights, is prohibited.
Report abuse to contact@camtex.app. We review reports without undue delay.
To process handwritten images and voice recordings into LaTeX code, CamteX transmits this data via secure API connections (HTTPS/TLS) to external technology providers, including:
• Google Gemini (Google LLC) - image recognition (OCR);
• OpenAI Whisper (OpenAI, LLC) - voice transcription;
• Anthropic Claude (Anthropic, PBC) - LaTeX code generation.
This data is processed solely to provide the service and is not used to train AI models by the above providers (per their API policies). Data is not stored by the Operator after processing.
The Operator is the data controller for personal data.
We process: email address (verification), scan count (limit management), session metadata.
Legal basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Users have the right to access, rectify, delete data, and file complaints with the supervisory authority.

CamteX provides a feature to export generated LaTeX code directly to the external Overleaf platform. The name "Overleaf" and its trademarks are owned by Overleaf Ltd. and are used solely for informational purposes (Nominative Fair Use).
CamteX is not officially affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Overleaf Ltd. Use of the export feature is subject to Overleaf's own Terms of Service (overleaf.com/legal).
Prohibited: generating illegal content, circumventing scan limits via bots or scripts, sharing login credentials with third parties.
The Operator provides the Service "as is" without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability.
AI results may contain errors - users are responsible for verifying generated code.
The agreement is concluded for an indefinite period. You may terminate it at any time by deleting your account in the subscription settings.
Deleting your account removes projects, version history and unused credits, cancels any active subscription and cannot be undone. Payments already made are not refunded.
We may block an account for a serious breach of these Terms, after first asking that the breach be stopped.
The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Matters not covered herein are governed by Polish Civil Code and GDPR.
These Terms take effect on May 20, 2026.
These Terms were drawn up in Polish. Versions in other languages are for information only; in case of discrepancy the Polish version prevails.
